Chocolate must be a gift from the heavens. Is there any taste more pleasing, more tantalizing, more memorable than chocolate? No, there isn”t. Whatever chocolate is used for, it makes the flavor better. A person could put chocolate on potatoes and they would be better. Dessert recipes are not all that chocolate should be used for. There should be recipes that use this favorite that are intended for main courses in a fine meal. Perhaps the taste of lobster would be remarkably enhanced if instead of dipping the morsels in melted butter, melted dark chocolate was waiting in the cup. Instead of automatically reacting to it, try it!
Dessert recipes are meant to be shared with people. They are not something to be protected like a piece of fine jewelry. Recipes are to be given away so that the divine tastes delivered from the best cooking and baking can be enjoyed by many people, not just a few chosen folks with whom the dessert recipes are shared. After all, what is dessert if not a delightful experience not just for the palet but for the soul as well. Dessert is an immersion into decadence that brings a needed pause from the cares of life. No other course of a meal brings that kind of response.
The best recipes are those which include a variety of ingredients that when blended together become another entity all together. Those are the wonderful recipes that bring a magical moment. The chocolate becomes the center of the senses, bringing about the enjoyment that causes a soaring of the mind to a higher realm of existence. Dessert recipes should bring about a rememberance of days gone by of the best times. The fragrances should transport the person from the present experience to the past in a moment.
A fondness for all the that dessert recipes can bring is only natural. It wouldn”t be normal for a person not to enjoy the total experience of dessert eating. Eating a lot of dessert does not mean people are not thankful for a fine meal, it just means they are aware of the importance of the total meal which must include the finest desserts. If chocolate is the centerpiece of the dessert recipes you use, you know from the start that everyone who sits around your table is in for a real treat they will never forget. Take your time with the recipe and the resultant creation.

We have become accustomed to the word copies. Where would offices be without copiers? Do you remember when in order to make a copy of a letter you had to put a piece of carbon paper between two pieces of typing paper? Do you remember mimeograph machines? Are you glad the days of masters and copy fluid and messes are over? Life is filled with copies. Foods are no different. When an original comes out, if it is successful people will come out of the woodwork to try to copy it. It is really a mark of success when you know that others are trying to copy yours. After all, yours is the one that set the bar, others are just trying to get in on the action. KFC has been copied and copied again by dozens of chicken places, but not one has ever matched the quality and taste of the original.
Changes are many in life and this iconic restaurant is no different. Because of some legal issues that were raised years ago over the name, the company had to drop the state name and begin using the name KFC. The name change, however, has not changed the quality of the food inside the store. When you open up that bucket of perfectly fried chicken, the aroma will swallow you up and your mouth will begin to water almost uncontrollably. You will not be able to wait until you bite into that first wonderful piece of fried chicken.
Most fried chicken restaurants offer many different dishes to go with your fried chicken. The mashed potatoes and gravy are just like mother used to make. Cooked to perfection, this dish is a must-have when you have a great fried chicken dinner. Fresh corn and other vegetable choices will fill out your plate with a fantastic looking dinner. Cornbread is a great addition and it tastes great. KFC definitely is the standard setter when it comes to great dinners at a reasonable price.
This American favorite has been around for many years. Grandparents, parents and children, and even into the fourth generation are all enjoying the taste. In every city and in many small villages across the country and even around the world, KFC has become a part of the landscape that would be sorely missed it it were not there. That’’s the power of fried chicken!

If you want to be a good host and make your guests happy, food is very important. In order to provide good food for your guests, you need to get the best menu from your food caterer. As the catering industry is very competitive, there are a lot of catering companies around. This makes it tough for you to choose the right caterer for your event. For you to choose the right caterer, you need to research, shortlist and negotiate. In this article, let us discuss in detail on choosing a good caterer.
Before you start researching for caterers, you need to be exactly clear on what kind of event you want to hold. You must know all the important details such as estimated total number of guests, venue, theme, type of food and your budget. This is because all caterers will need those details in order to give you a quote. And also, you need to settle on the type of catering that you wish to have for your event. Do you want a BBQ buffet catering? Or do you prefer a sit-down dinner course?
You might also want the caterer to be able to put on a spread that suits everyone. This is because some of your guests might prefer sugar free food or less salty food. Therefore, a good caterer should be able to fulfil these requirements.
Next, you need to determine the budget of the event. In order to determine the budget, you must estimate the total number of guests for your event. Some catering companies charge by per head, whereas other companies charge by menu price. Do take note that some companies will try to attract customers by promoting very low price for their catering services. Sometimes, those prices do not include additional costs. So it is important for you to always find out the detailed menu price and make sure that there is no hidden cost.
A tip for you to reduce cost of the catering service, try to avoid ordering alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks like wine and beer will increase the catering price by at least 2 times. By not providing alcoholic drinks at your event, you can cut down the cost and keep your guests sober. Why not?
After you have planned out all those details above, it is time for you to search for the right caterer for your event. Simply go to Google and search for catering companies in your local area. You should be able to find many websites of these caterers for your needs. Do talk to a few caterers before you decide on which one to hire for your event.

Making ice to meet demand might not seem a difficult task to accomplish, but if you work within fast food outlets, leisure industry venues, nightclubs, restaurants or bars even hospitals you will almost certainly be aware of the level of demand for ice, and why an ice making equipment is a piece of machinery that none of these venues can do without.
It is easy to appreciate that filling ice cube trays will not meet demand, and is now a positively primitive way of trying to make batches of ice within a given time period especially on a commercial level where there needs to be not only ice to meet immediate demand, but also a storage of ice to ensure you don”t run out.
Ice making equipment, primarily machines have now been developed to meet all kinds of demands for ice, from small users such as local pubs and domestic use to packed nightclubs heaving customers demanding icy cool beverages.
Ice making equipment are graded by output capability and storage capacity. They also come in compact tabletop versions of under counter units which require plumbing in.
The compact tabletop versions are generally considered the most ideal for low to medium users of ice, these can be obtained relatively cheaply depending on the performance level required. If you require an ice machine for domestic purposes, entertaining friends or catering for special occasions, then one of these machines will surely fit the bill.
One of the cheapest domestic ice making machines which is manual fill will set you back in the region of 120 GBP, its output will cover roughly around 12 ice cubes every 12 minutes which accumulates to 12/15kg of ice in any 24 hour period. These machines are compact and portable simply needing a mains socket to run. They are perfect for recreational rooms, caravans, boats or even in the office environment and are totally portable, and have a handy 600g storage capacity for additional ice.
At the other extreme end of the scale is the commercial ice making equipment which will easily produce a staggering 240kg of ice in a 24 hour period. These ice machines have a handy 45kg to 50kg storage capacity more than ample for serving chilled beverages for a night. These machines will require a mains water feed, drainage and a 13amp plug. (All accessories for these machines will be supplied with the machine) plumbing features are very similar to that of the domestic washing machine and therefore can be easily installed, however purchasing a top of the range, high output ice maker will cost in the region of 2,200 GBP.
Most manufacturers recommend the use of a water filter or scale reducer with any commercial ice machine or domestic ice making equipment, this prevents scale build up and reduces any potential breakdown problems related to the buildup of scale in hard water areas, water filters will usually be available to purchase as an option with ice makers.
Many manufacturers do now offer leasing options, leasing a machine especially when starting out in business is probably the best way of making sure you meet customer demand whilst being able to budget for monthly outgoings. Another advantage of leasing is the upgrade of equipment at the end of the leasing period.
There are ice making machines which will dispense up to 4 grades of ice, this makes catering for drinks requiring flaked or crushed ice such as smoothies easier to cater for. However in the main ice makers will dispense 2 types of cube which is the standard for most catering establishments.
When deciding you have the need for an ice maker it is essential to have a basic knowledge of how much ice you will require in a 24 hour period, this will enable you to judge the size required or provide a rough outline to a manufacturer who will be able to advise you of the best machine to meet your needs.

Stoneware has been around for hundreds of years, Stoneware is made from dense, non porous clay which is fired at between 1200 - 1280 degrees Celsius, it was fired with common salt (sodium chloride) to form a glaze, the sodium interacted with the silicon and aluminium in the clay forming a pitted surface with a thin glaze which potters called the ”orange peel” effect.
The term stoneware was used for this type of pottery because its constitution, manmade stone being both water-resistant and durable. The influence of colour was slowly introduced by adding raw chemical compounds to the slip (liquid clay) before firing, the colours used were recognised by regions. Ferrous oxide produced a mottled brown colour, blue came from cobalt being added and purple from manganese.
This method of colouring pottery is still about today and often used when teaching about pottery and clay modelling in secondary schools.
There is evidence of stoneware being used by the Romans back in the 12th century in the form of Beardman jugs or Bellarmine jars, however this spread to Europe in the 14th century, with the major production trade centre being Cologne, situated on the Rhine the waterways provided direct links to England and other parts of Holland.
Evidence of shipwrecked ships show that during the 17th century stoneware jugs were used on European ships to transport large quantities of commercial liquids (such as mercury) but were also used for the storage of liquids.
Stoneware differs from that of Earthenware, earthenware is impervious to liquids and fired at a much lower temperature.
Production of stoneware in England only took off into the latter part of the 17th century, Staffordshire produced its finest white salt glazed stoneware between the years of 1720 - 1760, it was the decorating of this Staffordshire creamware which introduced the name Wedgewood. Josiah Wedgewood opened his own factory in the 1750′’s called the Worcester Porcelain Company.
By the 19th century stoneware was being mass produced for common household vessels such as bottles and jars which held anything from ink to preserves, polish to medicines. Stoneware was even used for old fashioned hot water bottles, basically a water tight pan which heated the bed.
Decoration of stoneware became easier over time with the introduction of many brightly coloured glazes, however the use of stoneware bottles dwindled due to glass being less expensive to manufacture.
Stoneware however was still produced by many factories to make decorative vases, bowls, tobacco jars and giftware, including practical kitchenware such as pie dishes.
Stoneware and ceramics became more refined as time went by and the introduction of functional and practical kitchenware exploded. During the 1950′’s plates, dishes, bowls, cups, saucers etc were available as colour coordinated sets, tableware was born.
Many pieces of original stoneware can be seen in museums, original parts of beardmens jugs from Roman times proves just how durable and versatile these vessels actually were, and how these basic vessels influenced tableware of today, we only have to look at the serving dishes, cooking pots and pottery we use nowadays, perhaps slightly more refined though.

Anna Stenning looks closely at the creation of stoneware vessels in early history to the evolution of pottery as we know it today.
