The New Hampshire legal process for those charged with driving under the influence, DUI, can be very confusing and intimidating, especially if you have chosen to attempt to represent yourself. It is crucial to have a basic understanding of the system, even if you have a competent DUI attorney fighting for your rights, so that you have a better understanding of what to expect and when during the criminal trial process. Remember, though, that any questions regarding the timeline for your specific case should be directed to a legal professional trained in DUI laws in the state of New Hampshire.
Your arrest marks the beginning of the legal process. Until you are officially arrested, there is no case against you. Once you have been arrested, it becomes time to seek expert legal representation. It is urgent to begin building a successful defense strategy if you hope to fight the charge against you and minimize your penalty.
After booking, you may be presented an opportunity to be released pending the arraignment and trial date. This is via the bond or bail system, and it is not an option for everyone. It is based on your criminal background, the severity of the crime/charges, and similar information. The bail amount is typically a predetermined number, and this is often not based on your income or ability to pay.
Whether you were released or not, arraignment is usually the next step in the process, and this is where you are presented with your first official opportunity to learn what charges are being brought against you. It is also your time to enter a plea in the case, such as guilty, not guilty, or no contest. If you have reached an agreement with the prosecutor before this time, this may be the time to present the information to the judge for consideration.
If you have not made arrangements for the penalty phase, such as agreeing to probation or alcohol-education program, you may face an actual trial. Many DUI cases go to trial, since most prosecutors are unwilling to negotiate those cases where there is a high breath test or a second offense. This is why it is so important to have someone fighting for your rights. Any failure to communicate innocence or remorse could result in less leniency and more penalties for the charge if convicted.
Sentencing is the final phase in most cases, as very few are appealed in New Hampshire, and it marks the end of the case against you. If you are convicted, you will face many state minimum punishments, including potential jail time, monetary fines, loss of driving privileges, alcohol education programs, rehabilitation, probation, community service, and much more, depending on the specifics of the case.
However, keep in mind that if the case is an aggravated DUI or a 2nd or subsequent offense, you have a right to appeal the case for a new trial in front of a jury. That is an important option that you should discuss with your attorney.

When you are preparing your family for a natural disaster you may feel that it is nearly impossible because of so many unknowns. You have to make sure that you do not fear the unknown but instead you embrace it.
There are a lot of things that you can do to make sure that your family will be safe in any time of emergency. Do all that you can to prepare for a disaster and you will then be able to sleep well at night knowing you have done all that you can do.
First, you want to make sure that your family understands what to do when something is happening to the home. If it is necessary that the whole family get out of the house you should all know where to go to meet up.
There are not a lot of people that do not understand what they and their family will do to get out of the house. When you have young children this can be especially scary because they may not know where to go to find you.
If you cannot find your child during a natural disaster you are not going to be bale to function well. After you have found a spot that you can all meet, you should make sure your children have a very adequate knowledge of the plan.
After you have formulated a plan you will want to make sure that your children know what they should be taking with them when they leave. You do not want your child to bring things that they will end up not needing.
This will not only be a waste of your child”s precious time but it will also be a waste of their strength. Having kits right next to your child”s bed that they can grab and take out will be very beneficial for the safety of your family.
The most common way to take care of the kit, is to make a 72 hour kit. There are a lot of people that have realized the value of these kits recently as they have watched many areas of the world be torn apart by natural disasters.
Within these kits your child should have enough clothing and food to last them through three days worth of time. This means that the food included is going to have to be small and worth the space that it takes up.
Food that is high in protein but low in fat and salt will be great in these packages. When you include food that is high in salt you will just be making whomever ends up eating it more thirsty instead of less hungry.
You should also make sure to remember how much water you are going to have to include to make sure that your child is able to stay hydrated. Depending on the child this could mean that the pack you are asking him or her to carry will be too heavy.
Besides food and clothing you should make sure that necessarily medical information, medication or even blankets and first aid supplies. More than likely if your child will not use it there will be someone around that could use it.
After you have finished packing these kits, you will want to take the time to weight them and put them in proper containers. When they are in the proper containers you will be able to explain what they are to your children.
Your children should be trained to not go through their toys or other parts of their room. When they have this kit to focus on, you will be training them to take the kit and only the kit and get out of the home safely.
If you live on a multistory home, you have to make sure that your children upstairs understand how to get out of their window. If there are not emergency stairs outside of his or her window you should make sure to buy a ladder.
Many places sell ladders that you can throw off of a windowsill but still use to get out of the way. If your child is going to have to do this you are going to want to make sure that you do a run through.
This can seem embarrassing for the child, especially if he or he was in their high school years. NO matter how embarrassing this is for your child, you have to make him or her practice with the ladder they may use to save his or her life.

If there is one theme emerging about food at the moment it is local. Locally sourced food is being promoted left, right and centre. From supermarkets emphasising that their food is sourced from the UK, to the ”Great British Menu” TV programme, to celebrity Chefs expounding on the benefits of your local market, consumers cannot get away from it! So now is the time to take your delicious, locally sourced food to consumers.
Local Food Festivals and Summer Fetes are an excellent way to increase awareness of your brand and increase your sales. The sun is shining, people are feeling more laid back and open to trying new things, it is the perfect time for Food and Drink Festivals. There is something particularly enjoyable about wandering around a little area of greenery sampling delicious foods, wines, beers, ciders in the beautiful sunshine. It seems that in this environment people are more open to trying different things and undoubtedly develop better, more positive associations with anything they have enjoyed in the sunshine.
The first key benefit of exhibiting at local Food Festivals and Fetes is that straight away you will have an interested audience, approaching you for your products. This makes it considerably easier to sell to them, as long as you have a nice tray of samples and engage with them from the start.
A second benefit is that the overheads are relatively low. Once you have invested in a good quality folding table, folding chair or two, a small gazebo and food storage containers your only cost is the exhibitor fee. Although this may strike you as quite high, with the right storage equipment, you are likely to have a high return on investment. Plus, after the initial investment your folding table, chairs and other equipment have a long life span and will serve you for many Festivals and Fetes to come.
A third benefit is that once you have registered to exhibit at the festival or fete the organisers will promote your brand for you. Organisers of Food Festivals have large databases of contacts who will receive emails with information on the people exhibiting at the event. Your brand information will be on the website of the festival and any flyers or posters are likely to feature your brand information. School Fetes tend to send out brochures and emails to the families who attend the School and produce a programme which parents take home with them, which will include information about your business and products.
The final benefit is that Food Festivals and Summer Fetes open your business up to a new market of potential customers. You get high exposure and by making an effort to engage with people at the event and handing out business cards, leaflets or having branded receipt paper you will encourage people to remember your products favourably and shop with you again.
First time fete/festival checklist:
* Folding table
* Folding chairs
* Small gazebo (for outside events)
* Food storage containers
* Trays for samples
* Leaflets/business cards/branded bags or receipts

Nothing says summer like a barbecue in the late afternoon or early evening hours just before dusk. Owners of single-family homes routinely dust off their charcoal grills and place them onto their patios for easy access during the warm summer months. For condominium and apartment dwellers, having a BBQ within city limits is not quite as easy. In fact, statewide and city-specific regulations, as well as homeowner associations, routinely issue BBQ restrictions to those urban residents with even a large outdoor space.
A good example is Washington state, which in 2004 banned outdoor barbecue grills on any decks associated with multi-family dwellings. Amending the building codes, the BBQ restrictions specified that the use of open-flame grills – charcoal or gas-powered – in the vicinity of balconies was prohibited. The exception to this rule is when an overhead sprinkler system is in place.
In the state of California, the fire code limits the use of a BBQ within city limits. Larger propane grills, charcoal grills and any kinds of cooking devices that require an open flame are prohibited in and around communities where renters would be cooking on a balcony or patio. At issue are fire dangers, especially in areas where decks are made of wood and where drapes and curtains near the patio entry pose a serious fire hazard.
That said, it is still possible to grill food within city limits, but it requires a bit of an adjustment and perhaps an investment in a different kind of grill. Once again, a good example is some areas of California, where small propane tank grills (those with a storage tank capacity of one pound or less) are permitted. This is the equivalent of a good-sized camping stove and may be used on a sturdy outdoor table. Since the grill is much smaller than the larger appliances, it is less likely for users to move it nearer to the patio door or other areas where a fire may break out. (Keep in mind that it is not permissible to store a propane tank inside an apartment or keep it on the balcony!)
Electric grills are another means of working around the BBQ restrictions. In fact, since they require little more than a long cord to be plugged into an exterior outlet, they act more like electric frying pans than grilling accessories. Barbecuing purists have a bit of a love-hate relationship with these electric grills, but if the option is to use them versus not having summer grilling opportunities at all, they are well worth a try.

With summer quickly approaching, many people are looking for quick and easy raw food recipes to use instead of preparing meals that need to be cooked. People love to do things outdoors, and do not want to spend a lot of time indoors cooking. Not only does it heat up the house, it also takes away from precious outside time. The following paragraphs will offer some information regarding basic quick recipes using raw or precooked food.
Salads are quick way to feed your family without having to cook anything. A basic garden salad is the quickest and simplest. There are bags of premade salad available at pretty much any grocery store in the produce department. All you have to do is cut up some tomatoes, slice some cucumbers, and sprinkle some shredded cheese and you have a ready made meal made with nothing but uncooked food.
If you and your gang like salad, but prefer some sort of meat on it, you have a few options available to you without having to cook. While you cannot eat or use raw meat, there are some types of meats available that are precooked, such as ham chunks. Ham chunks are usually kept in the same area as the lunch meat, and do not require cooking. They are a great addition to any salad, as well as crackers or a piece of bread. Bacon bits can also be offered.
In addition to regular garden salads, fruit salads are also an option when it comes to recipes that do not require cook time. Fruit salad is made by chopping up different types of fruit and nuts and mixing them together in a bowl. It is best when served cold, but does not require chilling in order to be good. Whip cream can be added to any kind of fruit salad to enhance the taste. There are no specific fruits you have to include or omit from fruit salad. The fruits used for recipes of this nature are up to the individual preparing them and their preferred tastes.
Fruit and vegetable trays are another way to feed people quickly and easily with only raw food. Not only is this a healthy way to eat, the raw fruit and vegetables are refreshing on a hot, summer day. Fruit dips like peanut butter and caramel can be presented, along with veggie dips like ranch dressing and French onion dip.
Recipes where you do not have to cook are very popular during the summer months but can be prepared and enjoyed any time of the year.

Have you heard of the living foods diet? This is more than just a new fad diet. It is a system of eating that involves the consumption of what can be termed raw foods. This is based on the belief that cooking foods above a certain temperature destroys the important health giving enzymes and nutrition that they contain. When such compounds are destroyed it is much harder for our bodies to digest and absorb food.
So what is exactly contained in a living foods diet? Well it can incorporate fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, uncooked plants, seeds, beans, grains, sprouts, and nuts. There are absolutely no processed or modified foods in any form. It is a diet free of artificial sweeteners and preservatives. Many vegans follow a very similar system.
Sadly many of today”s health ailments can be put down to having a diet which is very poor. It is often easier to consume junk food and fast food then it is nutritious alternatives or at least this is what most marketing campaigns from food manufacturers and retailers would like us to believe.
The benefits of a living food diet are actually many. For a start you would be able to burn fat faster as the foods eaten are alkaline in nature and therefore better at neutralizing acidity. If there is too much acid in the blood stream then the kidneys would be overworked and as a result the body will produce more fat.
If you have a poor diet then it is usually easier to see by the condition of the skin. When there are too many toxins in our system they are often eliminated through the skin, this can lead to a build up of spots and acne. By switching to a raw food diet we would have a healthier and younger looking appearance.
It”s also believed that the immune system can be enhanced. Uncooked foods have a greater amount of essential minerals and vitamins that help every cell and organ in the body work more effectively. This in turn can gives us a greater amount of energy as the body”s digestive system has to work less hard to break down the various compounds that are being consumed.
There is also a suggestion that by switching to a diet that contains at least seventy five per cent raw foods the chance of developing cancer and other serious illnesses would be greatly reduced.
If you feel that such a diet would not satisfy your taste buds then you couldn”t be further from the truth. There are actually hundreds of exciting and delicious recipes available that can make your mouth water. As with any diet it takes time to discover preparations and dishes you enjoy but over the course of time it is well worth the effort. You do not need any expensive equipment. Basic blenders, juicers and food processors can provide you with a variety of interesting dishes to enjoy and love.
No matter what your age or sex you would feel immediate benefits by removing unhealthy foods from your life and switching to a living foods diet.
